TENNIS TERMS

• ACE: A service that is a winner without the receiving tennies player able to return
the ball.
• AD COURT: The part of tennis court that is to the left of the tennis players.
• ADVANTAGE: The score that follows on point played beyond deuce. If a player wins
the «advantage point,» he or she wins the game.
• ALLEY: The extra area of the side court used for doubles.
• A.T.P.: Stands for the Association of Tennis Professionals.
